We love a good campaign image, like a really good one — the kind that stops you in your tracks and send you into a daydream of the life inside the ad. After the first gorgeous campaign featuring the actress, Louis Vuitton brought Michelle Williams back for another round, this time to highlight three bags: the Lockit, the Capucines (both new), and the classic Alma.
Peter Lindbergh again took his place behind the camera, with Sam McKnight and Stéphane Marais on hair and makeup duty, respectfully. Carine Roitfeld styled the shoot. And can we just say how perfect the pink lip and now-iconic hair are? And the bags. They’re pretty great, too.
Hitting Kohl’s today both in-store and online is the retailer’s latest designer collaboration, this time with American designer Peter Som. Som’s collection for Kohl’s tops out at $88 (and is curiously on sale already) so you could say we’re pleased with those price points — kind of ideal for stocking up on summer duds.
Stripes and florals dominate the collection, and there’s a jumpsuit or two that caught our eye. Click here to shop and scroll down to see the lookbook images.
The style rookie (who at this point isn’t really a rookie at anything) will play the role of an anxious fashion student named Jessica. After August reviews, the play will do a 20-week run on Broadway through January.

Gone Too Soon Peaches Geldof has died at age 25, causes yet unknown. Her own mother died of an overdose when Peaches was 11. Of her death, her father said, “Peaches has died. We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing ‘was’ destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is.”
Honoring Angela Ahrendts Burberry’s CEO (soon to be at Apple) has been honored with the DBE, or Dame of the British Empire, for her contributions to British business.
Kanye West didn’t waste any time after his breakup with Nike last year — he went right into a new relationship with Adidas. The fruits of their partnership are almost here — Yeezy for Adidas hits stores in June, officially. ‘Ye announced the release date after performing at an Adidas global brand conference in Germany.
Here’s hoping Kanye’s relationship with Adidas is less rocky than the one he destroyed with Nike. Kanye voiced his contentious feelings toward Nike’s CEO, Mark Parker at a concert in New York this past November:
“They let me sip that clean water when they let me make them Yeezys, and they saw how the universe reacted. They tried to make it as small as possible. Mark Parker even talked shit, talking ’bout he don’t even know why people like the Yeezys. They liked them like they liked the Jordans because I was in fourth grade getting kicked out for drawing Jordans, for being connected to that emotion as a creative.”
Tom Ford quietly married his partner of 27 years, Richard Buckley, in the US, announcing the marriage at an Apple store event in London. The couple has one son together, one and a half year old Alexander John Buckley Ford.
Page Six (so take that as you will) reports that Chanel Iman and A$AP Rocky are secretly (well not anymore!) engaged. Chanel hasn’t been seen with a ring just yet, but we’re looking forward to seeing what kind of diamond the styled rapper comes up with for the model.
Congrats all around.

Kate Middleton wore a double breasted red number from Catherine Walker, borrowing a diamond fern brooch from the Queen — the national symbol of New Zealand, where she landed. This (in my opinion) is the best we’ve ever seen Kate look, and still true to style. The wind worked against the Queen’s wishes for longer hemlines, though. Everyone gets a Marilyn moment.
Dress It Like Beckham Mr. Posh Spice is reportedly looking into building a lifestyle brand — this on the heels of a swim collaboration with H&M, and you know, those campaign images of David in his underwear.
Settling For Better After five months of litigation, Condé Nast has settled its unpaid intern lawsuit. Condé CEO Charles Townsend says the decision to settle is the best business choice for the publisher now, so they can focus on finding other ways of supporting upcoming talent.
