Every season, we zero in on one model making significant waves in the fashion world. Blame it on those doe eyes or that sultry pout, but we–along with the rest of the industry –can’t get enough of Anais Pouliot. Pronounced Ah-nah-iss Pou-lee-ought, the 20-year-old French Canadian model has landed a host of campaigns within the last year. She’s also walked in a number of runway shows this month, including Marchesa in New York, Erdem in London (she opened and closed the show), and Ferragamo in Milan. She may be ranked #35 of the world’s top 50 models, but we can only see that ranking climbing come Paris Fashion Week. Peep a mini pictorial timeline of Pouliot’s work after the jump.
A quick search on The Fashion Spot reveals that this fresh talent has actually been in the modeling game since 2007, although her look was much more commercial back then.
After a series of one-off editorials, a much cooler Pouliot emerged in 2010 to model the Terry Richardson-shot SS11 Opening Ceremony x Levi’s collection.
Her biggest high-fashion break came in June of the same year, when she was tapped to model the Miu Miu resort 2011 collection alongside equally doll-faced Lindsey Wixson.
This followed a number of top billing gigs, including the Louis Vuitton FW11 campaign.
And last but not least, who could forget this melancholy Acne Paper SS11 cover? As we said about Daphne Groeneveld–who has since starred in numerous campaigns and runway shows–keep an eye out for this one.
