Joan Smalls, Adriana Lima, Doutzen and More Celebrate Summer with H&M

Here in NYC, we’re dealing with a spring that seems perfectly content to simply not exist–40 degrees and rainy–come on.

None of that for H&M though. The fashion powerhouse is 100% ready for summer and getting ready to launch their bikini-filled campaign starring Joan Smalls, Natasha Poly, Doutzen Kroes, and Adriana Lima.

To celebrate the campaign, they’re keeping things local, which for them means Swedish, with an exclusive track by Axwell /\ Ingrosso, who are set to debut their first album since parting ways with Swedish House Mafia this summer.

Watch for the video and song elements of the campaign to hit on April 30th, but in the meantime, start dreaming up your warmer weather getaways now with highlights from the summer collection, all of which will be available on April 30th!

Alexa Chung is the It-est It Girl

Photo: Joe Schildhorn/

Being an It Girl takes a lot of work. There’s traveling, partying, wearing gifted clothing, and mass attempts on being downright fabulous. It would be hard being Alexa Chung, said no one, nowhere. The British beauty air kisses Karl Lagerfeld’s cheeks regularly and sits front row at nearly every major fashion show.

She’s a chain-smoker and author of a book simply titled “It”. I think that needs no explaining as to why. Alexa is trotting behind personal favorite Chloe Sevigny on becoming the end all be all It Girl. See why, below.

Obviously Joan Smalls is a hot ninja.

Are you sick of Joan Smalls? I’m not, and neither is Vogue Japan.

I, too, lounge in similar clothes in poses much like this #twins

Well that’s one low-maintenance way to maintain eyebrows.

4 Reasons Ciara Deserves Some More Fashion Credibility

Photo: Madison McGaw/

10 years ago, an album simply titled “Goodies” was released that included a plethora of amazing R&B hits and an array of candy colored velour track-suits. Fast forward to 2014, and Ciara is still relevant today– thankfully, she has dropped the matching sweats for pieces that are little bit more couture. Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci considers her as part of his #family and she’s become a reoccurring figure on the front row scene. One look at her Instagram and you’ll mistake the self-made recording artist for a pampered billionaire’s daughter that mingles with the royals. It’s time for Ciara’s 2005 Teen Vogue cover to finish style school and graduate to Vogue, because lets face it, Ciara is the real deal.

Like any other fashion darling, a front row presence is essential to sealing the deal. Miss Ciara is not too shabby considering she’s sat front row at the Givenchy show multiple years in a row. Her relationship with Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci is far more than air kisses — he considers her part of his #family. The #family that also includes Vogue cover star Kim Kardashian.

Exhibit B: She’s got Ralph Lauren’s approval. Leandro-Justen_BFAnycPhoto: Leandro Justen/ Remember when Polo Ralph Lauren projected a fashion show in the middle of New York fashion week in the middle of Central Park on a waterfall? Remember how jealous you were that you weren’t there? Well Ciara was, and she was wearing a custom Polo top, name embossed of course.

Exhibit C: She’s got friends. Matteo-Prandoni_BFAnycPhoto: Matteo Prandoni/

Models Joan Smalls and Cara Delevingne, artist Marina Abramovic, jewelry designer Jennifer Fisher, and Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing, just to name a few. Ciara mingles with some of hottest names in fashion and art. They all can’t get enough of her goodies.

Exhibit D: The girl can wear the clothes. Matteo-PrandoniPhoto: Matteo Prandoni/

Lets face it, Ciara was blessed with a body of a goddess that any designer would be crazy not to throw gowns at. Ciara can look fresh in a potato sack… which I’m sure Margiela would gladly provide.

Joan Smalls, Chanel Iman, Jourdan Dunn, and Grills Featured in Beyoncé’s “Yoncé” Music Video

In case you weren’t still glued to your computer at 12:01 this morning, you probably haven’t yet feasted on Beyoncé’s newest release: a full 14-song eponymous visual album. On Bey’s site, you can watch and listen to 30-second previews of each.

For “Yoncé” Queen B brought in models Jourdan Dunn, Joan Smalls, and Chanel Iman. Talk about the best modeling gig ever. Also featured? Matte and uber-lacquered red lips, grills, and bondage-inspired clothes hosiery and accessories.

23-Year-Old Model Arizona Muse Lands Estée Lauder Gig

After making her runway debut in 2010 here to exclusively walk for the Prada SS11 show, model Arizona Muse has experienced nothing but success. Ranked #5 of the 50 top models in the world, the 23-year-old beauty has starred in a number of campaigns for the likes of Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Chloe, and Jil Sander, has walked for Stella McCartney, Balmain, Isabel Marant, Fendi and many more, and has hit just about every fashion rag cover on the planet. While she’s certainly a designer magnet, it was only a matter of time before her flawless features attracted the beauty world.

Today, WWD reports that Muse is the latest face tapped to be a spokemodel for beauty purveyors, Estée Lauder. She now joins the ranks of fellow runway favorites Constance Jablonski, Liu Wen, Carolyn Murphy, and Joan Smalls—who we similarly celebrated here when she landed the covetable gig back in 2010.

Look out for Muse later this year in the brand’s advertisements for skincare, makeup, and fragrance.

Joan Smalls is the New Face of Estée Lauder

Twenty-two-year-old model Joan Smalls is no stranger to the industry. She landed a prime spot in Tom Ford’s hush-hush SS11 womenswear preview, has a bevy of covetable campaigns under her belt, including Gucci and Givenchy, and was an exclusive model for Givenchy’s fall haute couture collection (alongside the equally busy Daphne Groeneveld). But the latest notch in her fashionable belt is not only major, it’s historic. Smalls has been named the 2011 Global Spokesmodel for Estée Lauder’s cosmetics and skincare line—the first Puerto Rican model for the brand.

According to Estée Lauder Senior Vice President and creative director Aerin Lauder, selecting Smalls to represent the brand was an obvious choice: “She’s confident, happy, elegant, well-spoken, and grown-up—and it really comes through in her pictures. When we pick someone to represent the brand, it’s about her personality, too. It’s not just the face. You find yourself not being intimidated by her beauty, but drawn in by her warmth,” Lauder tells Vogue. Smalls will join the ranks of other global spokesmodels Constance Jablonski, Liu Wen, Carolyn Murphy, Hilary Rhoda, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Elizabeth Hurley, and has already filmed the first television commercial for her new gig. Now that she’s a spokesmodel and sure to become a household name, it’s only a matter of time before Smalls reaches supermodel status.

Terry Richardson Snaps Joan Smalls & Beyonce for Tom Ford S/S 2011

As soon as it was announced that Tom Ford was returning to womenswear, fashionistas around the globe were beside themselves. So you can imagine their disappointment that Ford’s exclusive and private fashion show held this past September had a strict “no photography” policy. The designer’s exquisite new creations were modeled by the likes of Julianne Moore, Beyoncé Knowles, Joan Smalls, Emmanuelle Seigner, Lauren Hutton, and Marisa Berenson, but have not been shown to the public until now. Photographer Terry Richardson was given permission to share exclusive pictures of the show with Harper’s Bazaar UK as a sneak peak at the upcoming January issue of the magazine that will see British actress Emily Blunt wearing a Tom Ford cobalt blue fringed dress on the cover. See more of Tom x Terry, after the jump.
