Here’s a depressing thought: the Summer Solstice has come and gone, which means the days are only going to be getting shorter from here. On the upside, the nights are getting longer, and French music and fashion house Kitsuné are dropping a bangin’ summer mixtape for the club, backyard barbecue, deck party or wherever your warm-weather shenanigans take you.
Kitsuné honcho Gildas Loaec and collaborator Jerry Bouthier have curated a fun an eclectic assortment of remixes from the electronica, dance-pop, house and indie worlds, including appearances from UK dance legend Adamski, Felix Da Housecat, Citizens! and many, many more. Choice cuts include a spacey, spiraling remix of Charlotte Gainsbourg’s "Anna" from Moonlight Matters, Trentemøller’s take on M83’s "Midnight City," Cut Copy remixing The Rapture and a Friendly Fires remix that sounds like Earth, Wind & Fire’s "Let’s Groove Tonight" in the middle of its test for eligibility to be sent into space.
Here’s Moon’s mini-mix of the album, which is now on Kitsuné’s website.
