The Hottest Store Openings Just in Time for Your Holiday Spending

Coach’s New L.A. Flagship

‘Tis the season to blow your bank account and we’ve got a handful of gorgeous new shops to help us do it.

1. COS

For New Yorkers who dream of being Scandinavian minimalists, the opening of the city’s first COS location is a much-awaited dream come true. For years, those in the know have stockpiled the pared back pieces even if it meant an extra baggage fee. Shoppers can now spend that extra cash on the goods themselves.

129 Spring Street, Between Greene and Wooster

feit retail

More minimalism at shoe brand, FEIT’s new store. The Australian company founded by brothers Tull & Josh Price now has a home in downtown NYC. While minimal, FEIT shoes emanate a rarefied handmade, and high quality essence–we’ll call it ‘elevated minimalism’ perhaps.

Up until recent years, I hadn’t thought much about Coach since my Bat Mitzvah, if we’re being honest, and lately it’s literally all I can think about — here’s looking at you, Stuart Vevers! The newest store marks Coach’s very chic new beginnings–and the space itself has the design mark of Vevers, its creative director. The Rodeo Drive flagship is the first to undergo the makeover, which was completed in mid-November, but official celebrations will commence on December 10th and 11th. And, Time Warner Center’s Manhattan location is next up.

DY Soho Interior

David Yurman makes the move downtown to SoHo for a second NYC location so downtown girls can get those signature cable bands just as easily as uptowners.

Burberry’s new location on Rodeo is bringing a taste of London to Los Angeles thanks to its full span of all things Burberry: Prorsum, London, Brit, Accessories–and beauty even has a dedicated space (!!).

Forged Carbon–Not Just For Exotic Sports Cars

Jessey Stevens (Request) wears pieces from the David Yurman Forged Carbon collection. Photographed by Ben Rosenzweig in NYC.

A man’s car says a lot about him, and so do his accessories. So when the two share the same physics-defying materials in their construction, you know you’re on the right track. Resilient, ultra strong, and lightweight, both million-dollar luxury race cars and this Evan Yurman-designed collection revel in their forged carbon construction. Cut with geometric grooves, the marbled material plays well with the brilliant diamonds it’s set against. Wear these pieces and impress like no one else.

Channeling the Immortality and Strength of the Greek Gods

The new David Yurman men’s collections expand the limits of materials science and in so doing redefine notions of luxury jewelry design. Platinum, gold and diamonds still have their place…but there’s something special about a truly unique, unexpected fabrication. In a three part series, BlackBook explores exactly that.

David Yurman Titanium Collection

Strength and durability are highly valued qualities when it comes to aerospace technology and military equipment. Both rely on titanium, the 22nd element on the periodic table, known for its lightweight strength. In new, innovative titanium designs, Evan Yurman merges the material’s subtle luster with precious metals and gemstones.

Titanium takes its name from the Titans, the first pantheon of Greek Gods, whose strength, immortality, and indestructibility remains legendary–and whose qualities are mirrored in this sleek collection. Timeless, exceptionally strong, and simply beautiful.
