Sponsored Post: Vintage Military Helmet Bag

image Carrying things can be an absolute bore, especially when you ain’t got nothing nice to carry those things in. We’re used to carrying things with our hands (boring!) or in a plastic bag from the local supermarket (boring and ugly!). It really is a downer, all those looks you get when people see you carrying things without flair. Well, that ends right now.

Introducing the Remade Vintage Military Helmet Bag, a handsome but utilitarian carry-all, perfect for holding all the minutiae of your daily existence – avec flair. Made from salvaged leather and army fabric, you might be mistaken for a patriotic warrior home from the front lines, when really, you might just be an average banker with a little panache. Either way, you’re still our hero.

Pat Perry Wins “The City Is Your Canvas” Contest!

Congratulations to Pat Perry, the winner of The City Is Your Canvas Contest brought to you by I Make My Case and BlackBook! Pat’s evocative illustrations are inspired by “ephemera, wilderness, the Midwest, the concept of escape, animals, and memory,” and though he sometimes uses digital color, most of his work is still drawn by hand.

As our chosen artist, Pat’s work will be incorporated into a design portfolio on I Make My Case, where anyone will be able to use elements of Pat’s vision to create their own custom mobile phone case. Pat wins a share of any sales of his work as well as $1,000 cash. Pat’s customizer will be ready sometime in May; meanwhile, you can still get pre-designed iPhone cases featuring his work.

Many thanks to all our entrants; it was a real chore to pick a winner from such a talented field.

Sponsored Post: “Items of the Week” Coming Soon

Sure, it’s easy to just keep coasting, lulled into a stupefying sense of cozy security by the repetitive day-to-day. What could be more comforting? You can take those occasional worktime breaks to surf the web and chuckle at those more famous or less fortunate (or both), then get on with your life, such as it is. Instead, may we suggest you bust out of the rut ever so slightly with a our upcoming “Item of the Week” specials.
