Kate To Keep It Real On Her Wedding Day

According to Yvonne Yorke at the Huffington Post, the future Princess Catherine, Kate Middleton, is going with a small, lesser-known British designer for her wedding dress. The designer has apparently made dresses for Kate and her family over the years, so it would be a case of royalty loyalty. This would be quite a change up and a surprise to those who have predicted Bruce Oldfield as a shoe-in. But with so many rumors swirling around who will make the dress, I’m not sure what to believe anymore. If the rumor is true, that is one lucky designer who is sure to cement his or her place in fashion history.

People are going so far as to say, “Kate’s dress will define an era.” That’s a lot of pressure for a new designer—a make-or-break moment. After all, weddings are historically “all about the dress.” No one is talking about what kind of tuxedo Will will be wearing.
