What is Balmain but a guaranteed spotting of Kanye + Kim + Kris + Kendall (on the runway) etc. Not content to be outdone by Olivier Rousteing’s A-list supermodel casting, Kim brought a surprise to her #frow seat: a new hairstyle so controversial, it captured Instagram’s attention just as much as (and if we’re being real, more than) the new Balmain collection. Since your breath is baited, here it is:

Kim steals the spotlight.
Now back to the clothes for a sec: Rousteing’s collection was filled with Beetlejuice infused looks and the show read like a who’s who of the models of the moment. We spotted Alessandra Ambrosio, Jessica Stam, Binx Walton, Karlie Kloss, Jourdan Dunn, Joan Smalls, Gigi Hadid, and Kendall Jenner, who must have to really train her eyes so as not to be distracted by her fam. The unapologetically maximalist collection was full of 80s brights, micro-pleats, flares, and ruffles. There was lots of lace, lots of boobs, and massive belt buckles. Shoulder volume, again, à la the 80s, no longer needs icky foam pads in 2015, Balmain delivered the look vis-à-vis massive fur sleeves.

The new Ralph Lauren Polo store opened in New York City with a solid fashion guest list, including Grace Coddington, Lauren Remington Platt, and Alessandra Ambrosio. The new store is on 711 5th Ave, New York, NY.
In case you needed any proof that models are indeed from Mars, it’s just been revealed that Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio is four months pregnant with her second child, which means that she was two months pregnant during the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in November.
I suppose that we could have all speculated that Ambrosio was preggers, given that the three VS lingerie outfits she wore during the show covered her stomach, but still, the woman looks good. And after birth, we’re sure she’ll bounce back from the (nonexistent) "baby weight" as fast as her fellow freaks of nature, Miranda Kerr and GiseleBündchen.
Coachella is coming. In anticipation the annual arts and music fest, Modelina asked three big-name, music-loving models to reveal their favorite past performances and who they’re looking forward to seeing next. Besides praising obligatory indie acts like Mumford and Sons, Karlie Kloss, Heidy de la Rosa and Alessandra Ambrosio were actually really into that Tupac hologram during last year’s Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg show.
"I loved the Snoop Dogg, Tupac hologram, Eminem performance," Kloss explains. "That whole act was such a good surprise and was really cool." Heidy adds, "I think the Tupac hologram was mind-blowing. It’s definitely going to be hard to top that. I think it would be great if there were a Biggie Smalls hologram this time!" Ambrosio is the aforementioned Mumford and Sons supporter and also counts Kavinsky and Imagine Dragons as Coachella must-sees. In case you missed it, peep the model-approved illusion below.
The 30th edition of Sao Paulo Fashion Week began last Friday, attracting international celebrities and some of the world’s top models to Brazil as it continues to increase its profile amongst the world’s fashion week heavyweights. Highlights include Ashton Kutcher’s return to the runway — with wifey in tow — Paris Hilton strutting for Triton, and supermodels Gisele Bündchen, Lea T., and Alessandra Ambrósio repping their motherland. I wasn’t born a girlie girl — my healthy interest in body shimmer, lingerie, and pink frilly things sprang up somewhere between climbing birch trees and placing orders from the Victoria’s Secret catalog. If it wasn’t an instinctual progression, then I’d have to say my education came from said catalog, a pamphlet of ultimate girlishness and indulgence. The brand is like a giant slumber party — playing with makeup, putting on fashion shows, talking about boys — but for grown-up girls, only the guests are the most beautiful women in the world. These slumber party guests, including Alessandra Ambrosio, Marissa Miller, and Heidi Klum, are more than willing to share their secrets to getting sexy, whether you admit you want to know or not. Yesterday, Ambrosio was doing the slumber party thing at Victoria’s Secret uptown, and she brought Lindsay Lohan to help celebrate the launch of Ambrosio’s fragrance Velvet, a warm amber/blackberries/rose scent.
As the girls ate cake and played with Heidi Klum’s new VS Makeup Holiday Collection (typical slumber party), VS makeup supermodel artist Jackie Gomez gave the gals the supermodel makeover, dishing on the secret to their sexiness. Here, the before and afters.

There should have been a disclaimer at the door of the Stephan Weiss Studio last night, reading, “You must be 5’10” to enter this party and at least this gorgeous” (with an arrow pointing to a group shot of Sports Illustrated swimsuit models). The reception was meant to celebrate photographer Russell James’ and teNeues’ book launch of Russell James, and to showcase the exhibition Nomad Two Worlds. The latter cause was the second half of the Australia Week celebration — the first, was the celebrity loaded fete at Donna Karan’s Urban Zen West Village studio last week. For Nomad, James paired up with Clifton Bieundurry, an aboriginal artist, to produce phenomenal, large scale mixtures of tribal art and black and white photography.
The work was lovely, and you can’t go astray with sushi hors d’oeuvres, but the main attraction was the model-heavy guest list with the likes of Alessandra Ambrosio, Angela Lindvall, Alicia Roundtree, Brooklyn Decker, Doutzen Kroes, Erin Wasson, Julie Henderson, and Noemie Lenoir frolicking around the dimly lit space. Other guest highlights included, DJ Ruckus, Unik, Donna Karan, Ally Hilfigher and Alan Cumming. The night’s highlight came when two Aussies staged a seemingly impromptu didjeridoo performance. I also overheard Julie Henderson explaining how she maintains her lusty bod. The secret is that she’s “always been really athletic” and “works out a lot.” Who would’ve thunk.
