Ricky Gervais & Johnny Depp Shove a Midget in the Toilet for Twitter Kicks

Ricky Gervais has had a change of heart since quitting Twitter last January. The comedian rejoined the site a few days ago and has sent out several Tweets promoting An Idiot Abroad and his new show Life’s Too Short, which may be why he’s back. But who cares? A reason isn’t necessary for the kind of stuff he’s sending out. In asking “How can I prove it’s me though? This was Patrick Swayze’s problem in Ghost,” he’s come up with some hilarious evidence. Though this morning he’s been struggling with a learning curve, he did manage to send out a photo involving himself, Johnny Depp, and a midget in a compromising situation.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to hang out with Depp, apparently it’s like this. The small man in the can is Warwick Davis, Gervais’ co-star in the new BBC series. The explanation? “To protect Warwick from scary mice, me and Johhny Depp put him safely in the toilet. Anything for a friend.”

Gervais sent out several pictures on yfrog this morning, but most weren’t showing up and he’s clearly having problems.

“Dear virtual friends, Please be patient with me. I know I’m useless at this but I’m trying. My real friends say I’m very trying actually,” he Tweeted, followed by “Tried to follow Warwick. Couldn’t even do that. What a fucking useless Mong I really am. Will get a grown up to help.”

His over 96,000 followers didn’t seem to mind the error messages and jumped in with encouragement. And it seemed to work. He finally figured things out, with a workable link. “Proper tweet… Just worked out. (chest and triceps thanks for asking.) Champaign now open. The pics are fucking ace when I’m pissed.”

Gervais previously quit the site, stating “I just don’t get it I’m afraid. I’m sure it’s fun as a networking device for teenagers but there’s something a bit undignified about adults using it.”

As to who he is following, no one for now. Race is on to be the first before he gets fed up and quits again.
