Of Human Bond-age

imageWith little over a week left before the anniversary of the 1929 St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, the shopping clock is ticking. For the creatively complacent gift giver, Bond No. 9 introduces a perfume and candle called Bond No. 9’s West Side. Each of the company’s scents aims to capture the aroma of a different New York neighborhood; this one has undertones of meringue, salsa, and reggae, apparently representative of the musical flavor of the West Side (though we don’t really know what music is supposed to smell like, we dug it anyway). Sure beats a box of chocolates. —Erin Hicks
