Miracle Holiday Pop-Up Takes Over Cocktail Bars Across the Country

More than ever, we need a holiday season miracle. And it would help if it came spiked with bourbon or rum.

Thankfully, more than a dozen such wonders were launched on November 25, as the Miracle Holiday Pop-Up has become a truly global phenomenon. Started two years ago at NYC’s cool East Village cocktail spot MACE, it was such a hit that, like Santa himself, it’s now spreading around the world. Drinks elf Nico de Soto has again created the menu of liquid magic – and participating bars from LA to Seattle to Atlanta, D.C, Montreal, Paris, Athens and beyond, will all be making the season a little brighter (and tipsier).

Not just some gimmick to sell more elaborate tipples, each bar will completely subsume its everyday identity, and be given a total “deck the halls” makeover. And the drinks? Unabashed holiday charm and kitsch, but with a kick that keeps on giving.

“I don’t want to choose a favorite as they’re all so incredible,” says MACE’s Joann Spiegel. “But I am partial to the Snowball Old Fashioned, with flavors that remind me of Christmas at home. And…it is served over a snowball in a Cocktail Kingdom Santa rocks glass. Pure holiday cheer!”

The festivities will continue through Christmas Eve, offering a handy and necessary holiday spirit recharge throughout the entire season. Naughty and nice are all welcomed to join in.
