ELLEN CHUSE: RECENT WORKS ON PAPER

Tired of the glitzy Manhattan gallery elite making precious comments about the latest Whitney biennial trust-funded “wunderkind”? Then head on over to Park Slope’s tiny, cozy, totally unpretentious 440 Gallery to see Ellen Chuse’s colorful, almost color form-ish works on paper. Chuse, a sculptor-turned-painter, takes her inspiration from nature — landscapes, bodies — and abstracts them into original and moving forms. Oh, and there’s free wine and snacks if you get there early!
