Of all the Prohibition-era bars in New York, this one might be the most mature. A huge wooden door leads to a dark and swanky space and the bartenders are the coolest guys in the room. More of a leader than a follower in the current craft cocktail craze, this isn’t the place to get beer or wine. Instead of your regular gin and tonic, get the Paper Tiger, a shaken mix of gin, sherry, lime and grapefruit.
