Though summer’s winding down (boo), there’s still some outdoor drinking to be had, and Top of the Rock is trying to get in on the action with a Wednesday evening called the “Starlight Music Series.” Starting on September 9 and running through October 7, Top of the Rock will serve wine and apps at sunset for those who’ve purchased the $20 tickets to get to the top observation deck. This series marks the first of its kind for Top of the Rock, which re-opened in 2005. Advance tickets are $18 online and include access to the deck and the musical accompaniment, but if you want to booze it up and cheers the sunset, you’ll have to pay per drink (not cheap, I’m guessing). This makes for a perfect spot to take out of town guests who really want to check out the famous view — they get to tourist around and point out various landmarks, and you get to knock back a few drinks while listening to some tunes. It’s a win win. Check out the lineup after the jump.
