Over 1.7 million people will be diagnosed with some sort of cancer in 2014, and 585,000 are expected to die from the disease. And, while scientific advances have helped save millions of lives, the future of cancer is looking bleaker than ever.
A new report from the World Health Organization predicts a worldwide “human disaster” as the number of new cancer cases soars from 14 million to 24 million by 2035.
