Le Philosophe

“Affordable” and “French” rarely share the same sentence, which is why Le Philosophe is the place to go when you’re feeling fancy (but broke AF). The walls are decked with famous philosophers (hence the name) so you can impress a first date by remembering what your professor said about Deleuze in college. The menu is perfect old-school rustic French—lobster thermidor, bouillabaisse—but go for the less-expensive cheese and charcuterie plates, since portions are small but satisfying.
