Michael White brings modern Italian fine dining to the second floor of chic Langham Place Hotel. White marble bar and carefully placed wine racks create elegant but unstuffy atmosphere. Strong on pastas, of course, like sage butter gnocchi and porcini ravioli; but not coy about the luxury items, also trotting out oysters and caviar, lobster veloute and black truffle, foie gras and hazelnuts. Eben Freeman covering the classy bar program, injecting a little downtown glam into the mix. A gem.
