New Raveonettes Song ‘Junko Ozawa’ Will Soundtrack Your Summer Surf Adventures

We love sharing our darkest, most haunted winter moments with The Raveonettes. But come spring, we could want nothing more from them than an overly echo-chambered, retro-surf riff to soundtrack our first glorious rounds of spring wave-catchings.

Their gothic, groovy new song and lyric video, intriguingly named for mysterious (and long gone underground) Japanese sound designer Junko Ozawa, combines one of the hottest surf riffs of the 21st Century with enigmatic lyrical pronouncements like, “The oceans in your eyes are red.”

Wipe your tears, grab your board.
