We’re now seven months into the year, and while no one has been able to top the absurdity of Gucci Mane’s ice cream face tattoo, many continue to try. R&B singer Lloyd is the latest to acquire some questionable above-the-neck ink work. During an appearance on BET’s 106 and Park to promote his King of Hearts album, Lloyd showed off a new guns and roses tattoo—not to be confused with Guns N’ Roses—spread across the back of his head. Not that he could really hide it anyway.
The artwork (again, emphatically not a tribute to the popular ‘80s rock n’ roll band) shows two guns laying in a bed of roses. Lloyd actually had an explanation for the tattoo, which, thankfully, didn’t involve the words “brrr” or “icy.” “I’m a contrast, I’m a walking contrast,” he told the show’s co-host Terrance J. “I go from hard to soft. I go from guns to roses, which is in my tatt, and I like to go from the streets to the sheets. I make street savvy R&B music but I also like to slow it down and be sensual at times.”
