Here’s a midweek treat: a new track from Grace Weber, off her upcoming second album, The Refinery  (dropping October 7th).  On this funky, 70s-inflected song, you can hear that Grace got her start performing in a gospel choir. And, not only that, the song has a social conscience. Grace wrote the song after the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Says the singer:  “I remember seeing footage of the oil surging into the Gulf and the lyrics just came to me. Oil & Gold is about the choices we make and their far-reaching impact on communities and the environment.” So, without further ado, here’s “Oil & Gold,” a song that will make you dance and think.
