Do you live in the New York area and want to be part of the Batman saga’s latest chapter? This Saturday, there will be an open casting call for extras to appear in The Dark Knight Rises. They are looking for people to play “guards, soldiers, and police officers” and are offering the chance to “Take part in the urban action adventure coming to the streets of New York City.” The producers also promise that whomever show up will be noticed for their star quality and quickly cast in larger and larger roles until they become Hollywood’s most celebrated star.
The casting call is Saturday at 10am -1pm and 2-4 pm at Metropolitan Pavilion, 110 W. 19th Street. They are seeking “physically fit athletes, people with military and/or law enforcement training/experience, weapons training, and/or martial arts training,” so if you haven’t worked out since high school, join a 24-hour gym today and work out for 24 hours before the call. That, or learn karate really quickly. If picked, you will get to be in next year’s biggest blockbuster, albeit as a uniformed blur amongst hundreds of other uniformed blurs. They might let you drive the Batmobile, though! (They won’t let you drive the Batmobile). For more information about this opportunity, go here. Don’t forget to mention us in your Oscar acceptance speech! They give out Academy Awards for inconsequential, out-of-focus, non-speaking roles, right?
