Richard Linklater’s epic 12-year-spanning documentation of American life Boyhood will finally have its theatrical debut next month. Starring Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette as the parents to Ellar Coltrane and Linklater’s daughter Lorelei Linklater, the coming-of-age tale is an absolutely awe-inspiring journey from a director whose work has always dealt with the passage of time and relationships with a keen perception of genuine emotion.
And now, ahead of the film’s release you can see a massive batch of stills from the feature. But be warned! So much of the magic of the movie is watching everyone in it mature—both physically and emotionally—so if you’d like to savor how special that is to watch upon the screen, I’d opt to not scroll down. Instead you can check out an hour long talk with Linklater HERE.
