Opening Ceremony Debuts Online, Christopher Kane Sells Out

Fashionistas the world over are likely rejoicing today as NYC-born retailer Opening Ceremony has officially launched its new e-commerce site, says Refinery 29. The boutique, which boasts outposts in both Manhattan and Los Angeles and which has become synonymous with downtown chic, has opened some seriously stylish digs online. While the site’s layout seems to suggest, the avatars on the homepage look very Colette-esque. Regardless of inspiration, the site is without a doubt a must-see for fashion lovers the world over. Peruse the likes of Opening Ceremony’s house brand, Alexander Wang, and Pendelton in just a matter of clicks.

Also making waves in the world of online fashion is Brit wunderkind designer Christopher Kane. According to Vogue UK, the same day that the designer’s Spring/Summer 2009 collection hit NET-A-PORTER’s virtual racks, it sold out completely. It seems like, at least in the world of online fashion retail, things may be looking up.
