Sophisticated silhouettes, clever color blocking, and pristine pattern play – Max Azria and team pulled out all the stops for this morning’s BCBGMAXAZRIA show at Lincoln Center. Punctuating weightless fabrics with sharp prints, it’s clear that the contemporary clothing line has taken the high-fashion road this season, and they brought along a few friends for the ride, too.
Everyone from xoJane’s Jane Pratt to NOWMANIFEST superbloggers Rumi Neely and Bryanboy marveled from the frontrow as top models like Arizona Muse and Ruby Aldridge (above) floated down the catwalk in whimsical of bright-meets-neutral hues. Although the range felt quite grown, that’s not to say that BCBG’s youthful vibe was forgotten, as details like tribal patterns and other worldly accents played up on the brand’s innovative imagination.
I’m certainly feeling BCBG’s new chic edge, and can’t wait to see where their new practical-meets-playful sportswear direction takes them next.
