This February will mark New York Fashion Week’s last hurrah at Bryant Park, before moving to Lincoln Center, but on the 11th, Milk Studios will be taking some of the spotlight. The 15th Street space in Manhattan’s Meatpacking district will play host to some of New York Fashion Week’s brightest young stars, just as it did last September. Co-sponsored by MAC, Milk Studios will show newcomer Jeremy Scott, McQ by Alexander McQuee, Patrik Ervell, Richard Chai, Suno, and Johan Lindeberg’s Paris68, says WWD.
Add to that the much talked about designers who will make Milk their fashion week home for the second time around, including Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B., Vena Cava, Band of Outsiders, Threeasfour, Costello Tagliapietra, Temperley London , and the locale is sure giving Bryant Park a run for its money. There’s also plenty of high-profile participants who aren’t designers. Ryan Gosling’s band Dead Man’s Bones will play Milk’s opening fete, while Montauk’s Surf Lodge (from former Top Chef alumnae Sam Talbot) “will set up a pop-up outpost on the eighth floor.” Seriously, who needs 42 street? Looks like last season’s fashion week face-off may have a winner.
