Lower East Side Runway a Go for NYFW

In June, we noted that fashion veteran Cheryl Maleh’s initiative to bring fashion shows to New York’s Lower East Side was in need of funding. Now, thanks to you and 153 backers, her Kickstarter campaign has successfully reached their funding goal. The show will indeed go on. Part fashion showcase and part pop-up shop, the 12 events commence during NYFW on September 7, running through October 1. Check out the designer roster, event schedule, and ticket info after the jump.

All participating designers live or work in the five boroughs: Paste USA, Olasul, Sir New York, Rachel Rose, Lumete, Alexandra Taylor, Meghan Patrice Riley, Gemma Redux, Domestic Holding, Reddoll by Tatyana Mereyuk, Newform Perspective, FE Wearables, Shaelon Smith, C Pettel, Pip-Squeak Chapeau, Shown to Scale, Visantine Collective, Eleanor Lee Jewelry, and Adha Zelma Jewelry.

The shop and shows will be held at Maleh’s storefront, Grand Opening. The pop-up shop is open every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday from 12pm – 7pm, and Saturday from 12pm – 6pm, and will feature work from the designers participating in the fashion show, so patrons can purchase designs straight off the runway. There will be three 60-minute fashion shows per night at 7pm, 8:15pm, and 9:30pm. Tickets are $12 a pop and include a complimentary drink (brilliant).
