If you’re not already familiar with French Vogue editrix Carine Roitfeld’s scion, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, you will be soon. The Parsons grad is a trained art director who has cut her teeth under Fabion Baron at Baron & Baron (she was subsequently chosen as the creative force behind Rock & Republic’s FW08 ad campaign, which starred her brother Vladimir). But, these days, she’s moonlighting as a model and spokesperson more often than setting up shop behind-the-scenes. Having recently posed for an editorial spread in Harper’s Bazaar UK and starred in ads for Mango, Restoration of the Monarchy, and Tom Ford’s Black Orchid fragrance campaign, the doe-eyed brunette has already racked up quite the modeling resume.
Now comes news that Restoin-Roitfeld will star in Jil Sander’s new fragrance campaign for the scent, Jil, not to mention the Bleeker Street by way of Paris fashion offspring recently mugged for Todd Selby’s namesake photo blog. Among the more revealing aspects of the series, Restoin-Roitfeld showcases a penchant for animal-themed wares (both stuffed and fashioned as jewelry). Meanwhile, not surprisingly, Restoin-Roitfeld’s shoe collection is about as enviable as her sartorial pedigree.
