Hold the Phone: Anna Dello Russo to Design a Collection for H&M

Our girl, the ostentatiously luxurious, deliciously gaudy, eccentric hat-wearing Anna Dello Russo is designing a special collection of accessories for none other than international fast-fashion powerhouse, H&M. This is true. Per the release (and ADR’s blog), H&M creative advisor Margareta van den Bosch tapped the street-style icon and Vogue Japan editor-at-large to design a range of "jewelry, sunglasses, shoes, bags and trolley" that will be available in approximately 140 H&M stores worldwide.

We’ve covered many of ADR’s gratuitous spectacles throughout the years, including but certainly not limited to her Twitter Q&A, her egg hat at the Met gala, and, of course, her top 10 holiday party rules. This golden nugget of news makes Fashioneer especially giddy because you know that whatever ADR designs, it will include lots and lots of bling and is sure to contain czarian-like characteristics (which is her apparent muse of choice). The pictured gold and turquoise clutch is a sneak peek of the range, and more can be found here.
Will the ADR x H&M release on October 4th cause Harry Potterish pandemonium à la Lanvin x H&M? We’ll just have to wait and see.
