NY-based wrapping paper start-up Gift Couture is on a mission to dress up your gifts like never before. Founders Sarah Fay and Justin Colt use original photography and graphics to develop cleverly themed wrapping-paper sets that could really be given as gifts on their own.
We’re particularly obsessed with their debut Cheeseburger-themed set that perfectly complements fashion’s current print-happy craze (Jeremy Scott, anyone?). But the only way we’ll ever get our hands on it and subsequently become the coolest gift-givers ever is if GC meets their funding goal to get the project off the ground.
Now through January 1, the company is running a Kickstarter campaign to raise $7,900 for pre-order funding. "This will also encourage and enable us to release additional coordinated sets, which will be available online and through retail partners," Fay and Colt note. Offering seven stages of pledging, GC will gift $5+ donations with one sheet from the line, and $20-300 donations score one to 10 complete sets of the line, which includes a bun, meat, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and another bun. So far, they’ve raised $604 from 26 backers and have 26 days to go.
