A User’s Guide to Maison Kitsuné in New York City

Parisian style stalkers, rejoice. Maison Kitsuné has finally opened its first-ever stateside capsule of cool within the NoMad Hotel, and it’s filled to the brim with superior French swag. Conceptualized by the cult-adored label’s co-founder Masaya Kuroki, the airy 1,000-square-foot space was constructed by internationally acclaimed architect Jacques Garcia and features French Renaissance architecture. "I used the same approach to design this store as I did when I designed my apartment in Paris: very intimate, classic Left Bank style, with touches of bourgeois elements throughout," notes Kuroki. "While custom made furnishings give the boutique a modern edge, the overall concept is very much that of an elegant, classic Parisian atmosphere."

As for the goods, the emporium promises artfully sensual footwear by Michel Vivien, bags by WANT Les Essentiels De La Vie, skincare by Aesop, Maison Kitsuné men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, and more. For beat junkies, the label’s signature music compilations are available for purchase in both CD and vinyl formats.
