Streaming sites like Netflix and Hulu have made video stores a thing of the past. But there’s still nothing like a good old fashion movie-going experience.
One of the genius minds behind Netflix has taken the monthly subscription format and tailored it to movie theaters. MoviePass offers unlimited movies at any major theater for a monthly fee. Although the subscription price had hovered around $30, it’s now been reduced to $9.95 per month, which is cheaper than a single ticket in most theaters.
The price drop comes as founder Mitch Lowe’s effort to revitalize the theater industry.
