Margaret Atwood’s fanbase has substantially multiplied since the success of Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale. The chilling dystopian drama has attracted many viewers with its eerie relevance during the Trump administration.

Now the Canadian author will see another one of her novels translated to the screen, this time thanks to Netflix. The streaming platform just released the first trailer for its six-hour miniseries of Alias Grace. Starring Sarah Polley, the intense drama is about Grace Marks, a young Irish immigrant and domestic servant convicted of murdering her employer in 1843 Upper Canada.

If the unsettlingly relevant social commentary of The Handmaid’s Tale is any indication, this could be a must-watch for both Netflix and Atwood.

Season one of Alias Grace is available November 3 on Netflix. Watch the trailer below.
