SLS Hotel South Beach

The reigning princes of LA nightlife, sbe, expand their empire into the Magic City with the swish SLS Hotel South Beach. Never one to be outdone, the talent enlisted for the SLS by sbe’s Sam Nazarian is enough to send most of Miami’s hospitality honchos scrambling for a renovation plan. And with the two eponymous culinary masters helming The Bazaar by Jose Andres and Katsuya by Starck, as well as an 8,000-square-foot Beach outpost of sbe’s Hyde nightclub and rooms flaunting an almost-Versailles opulence, expect a curious convergence of rhapsodizing foodies and lounging beauties.

The Redbury

Perpetual HWood celeb parade makes home in South Beach. Opulent Euro-Morrocan decor slightly toned down to Miami tastes. Rooms have bright colors, boho touches. 12,000 square foot rooftop pool gloriously free of boozy socialites. Cleo is fabulously luxurious place to nibble exotic Med cuisine and ogle the beautiful peoples. But room key gets you access to all sbe Miami hotspots, including those at the SLS and Raleigh. Good deal.

The Rum Line

This sultry spot in the Loews Hotel is all about breezy Caribbean cool, with wicker chairs, palm trees and dangling white lights. No surprise, they’re serious about the rum – especially local fave Afrohead. The tiki glasses are a nice kitsch touch.

Morimoto

Fitted into trendy Shelborne hotel, leaves behind the 23rd Century spaceship décor of previous outposts, opting instead for a more seductive elegance. Bring someone you adore, share a couple of sexy Nashi Blossom vodka cocktails, and work your way through the raw bar, yellowtail tartare and tableside-prepared Ishi Yaki Bop rice dish. Or go with your fave Morimoto-phile and do it Omakase.

Cleo

SBE’s HWood glamour puss resto finds a home in the SoBe outpost of its HWood glamour puss hotel. This one leaves the Marrakech decadence back at the mothership, instead flaunting a sort of pan-Euro opulence. The Mezze plates are aces (you must try the rutabaga, dates and orange). or go for the spicy Moroccan fish tagine –  all best paired with a chi chi Garbo or Lotus Flower cocktail. Beautiful peeps and celebs abound.
