HBO’s quasi-spiritual drama, The Leftovers has continuously left us on the edge of our seats, always wanting more. The show follows a family as they move on in the wake of a strange occurrence that appears to be the rapture. Mom joins a creepy cult, led by none other than Liv Tyler. Dad begins experiencing the afterlife. Meanwhile, teenagers are teenagers and that will never change.
HBO has recently released the trailer for the third season. Split into seven parts and posted on different locations of social media, it shows that the new season picks up seven years after the first departure. If you’re slightly familiar with Christian beliefs, you know that’s not a good thing. The Garvey family is apparently facing a pretty big flood and subsequently, the end of days. But apparently dad might be the second coming of Christ?
