Tonight’s Featured ‘Millionaire Matchmaker’ Bachelor Implants Eye Jewelry For A Living

Are you interested in an eye opening experience? (Wink wink, nudge nudge.) $3,000 will get you a platinum heart embedded in your eyeball. Dr. Emil Chynn of Park Avenue SafeSight is the first ophthalmologist in North America to perform cosmetic eyeball jewelry surgery. Platinum eyeball jewelry has gained popularity in Europe, and the bling has a little curve to it, to help conform to the shape of the eye. For a little twinkle in your eye…

“The procedure involves making a very tiny incision in the clear covering of the eye, or skin of the eye,” Dr. Chynn explains from his Manhattan clinic. “The platinum is then inserted. I don’t have to suture it up because it’s so small and it just closes up after three days.”

Good thing! I don’t think there’s a single person on the planet that enjoys stitches on their eyeball. Dr. Chynn is a man who is always on the cutting-edge, in fact he’s going to be on tonight’s episode of Millionaire Matchmaker. Not only does the doctor embed foreign alloy material into patients’ optical apparatuses, he’s also looking for love on television.

Kristina Kovalevskaya is the first woman in New York to undergo Dr. Chynn’s eye jewelry operation. The 26 year old, originally from Russia, now sports a shiny platinum heart in the corner of her right eye.

“I’m a person who likes extremes,” Kovalevskaya says. “I want to keep it in my eye as long as possible. I like it, but I’m planning to swap it out. I really want to try a new design. Every girl wants to try something new,” she adds with a smile.

So what is it exactly that makes her happy and how is it done? See how to get that artificial sparkle in your eye with this video:
