Breitbart Senior Editor Milo Yiannopoulos has been called a fascist, a white supremacist, and pretty much everything else in the “liberal epithet” lexicon. (His scheduled appearance at UC Berkeley literally inspired rioting. It was subsequently cancelled.) Factor in his boss Steve Bannon and the current US President they shower with so much adoration, and it’s hard to tell who is a puppet of whom.
Proof of his polarizing powers, an invitation to appear on HBO’s Real Time With Bill Maher last night saw award-winning journalist Jeremy Scahill pull out of the show in protest. The latter, a frequent Real Time guest, issued a statement insisting the the show is “…like family to me. But Yiannopoulos is many bridges too far. There is no value in ‘debating’ him.” Maher publicly criticized Scahill’s decision.
Surprisingly, however, despite having shown little ideological mercy with recent guests like Tomi Lahren and Piers Morgan, Maher did not exactly go for the throat with Yiannopoulos. Watch the full interview here:
