The name literally means “meat market” – and they were doing the stylized meat thing long before it became a zeitgeist staple. It’s best to stick to the theme, house made sausages and beef carpaccio tenderloin for starters, lasagna bolognese, pork chops or a hefty dry aged strip for mains. It’s actually in an old meat locker, with vintage beef signage and wall-hanging cow providing the appropriate atmosphere.
