Ashton Kutcher’s Punk’d had a great run as the Candid Camera for the digital generation – but viewers were required to take particular pleasure in the suffering of others.
But a new show, Crashed, takes the elements of surprise and hidden cameras, and throws in a massive of dose of positivity. Produced by Sony Music Entertainment and streaming now on Verizon’s go90, it’s what happens when superfans are nominated by those who love them – then have their fave stars pop in unexpectedly for an impromptu party.
“I’m thrilled to be partnered with go90 and Sony Music Originals on ‘Crashed,’ says the series’ producer Joel McHale (who also stars on The Great Indoors), “…which has nothing to do with what happens to you after you have twelve Sugar Daddies.”
Previous episodes have featured Ashanti, Youtube star Joey Graceffa, the cast of Dance Moms, rockers All Time Low and gymnastics gold-medalist Gabby Douglas. But the latest sees rising R&B goddess Tinashe (DazedDigital called her a “supernatural chanteuse”) drop in for an anything goes karaoke session with fans at Palmtree LA.
