SNL, Stranger Things, & Westworld Are the Big Winners of the Creative Arts Emmys

Over this past weekend, the Creative Arts Emmys took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Ahead of television’s biggest night, the upcoming Primetime Emmys (this Sunday at 8 PM EST), Saturday Night Live, Stranger Things, and Westworld have established themselves as fronting the pack, with 5 wins each.

13th, Samurai Jack and The Night Of each took home four Emmys, and Big Little Lies, The Handmaid’s Tale, Veep, Hairspray! Live and Drag Race each scored 3.

Most notably, Melissa McCarthy and Dave Chappelle both scored wins for their turns as guest hosts on SNL. Alexis Bledel took home the Guest Actress in a Drama prize for her work as the gender traitor Ofglen on Handmaid’s Tale. Stranger Things, Big Little Lies, and Veep all took home awards for Best Casting.
